Design, create, and maintain databases tailored to the organization’s needs, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and security. Database development in this role will be complimentary to and collaborative with the ProAmpac Business Intelligence Team (IT) which is separate from this Operational role.
Collaborate with different departments to understand their data requirements and integrate data from multiple sources into centralized databases.
Automate recurring reports and dashboards, streamlining the data reporting process to deliver insights in real-time or at scheduled intervals.
Analyze large datasets using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement automated workflows for business processes, improving operational efficiency.
Create visually compelling dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
Work closely with sales, operations, pricing, finance, marketing, IT, and other departments to support their data and reporting needs.
Document all processes, data models, and automation solutions and provide training to relevant team members as needed.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all databases, reports, and automated processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Present findings and insights to stakeholders.
Clearly convey complex technical data and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Create and facilitate training and knowledge to further develop analytical capability across the Company.
Up to 20% travel will be required.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in database development, data analysis, or process automation.
Proficiency in SQL and other database languages (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Proficiency in automation tools and techniques (e.g., Python, RPA platforms).
Strong statistical skills and experience with analytical software (e.g., R, Python, or Excel).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
