Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Lab Technician near Cincinnati, OH.Temp to HireShift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pmCompensation : based on experience POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for supporting inkjet ink development. Duties include, sample and small batch preparation, physical property measurement, printer operation, and raw material replenishment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts laboratory testing on products.

Inventory management of all lab supplies and equipment.

Prepares samples and scale-up batches.

Purges retains according to retention schedule.

Maintains an accurate, detailed, and witnessed notebook.

Maintains cleanliness of the R&D laboratories and print areas.

Maintains an organized system of storage for consumable materials and replacement parts in the R&D lab according to the Chemical Hygiene Plan.

Supports the product development / R&D team.

Performs lab equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.

Capable to organize required works in most efficient way.

Able to follow the instruction / operation manual

Attends all required meetings and training.

Maintains adherence to company standards at all times.

Other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESEducation and/or Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Employee must be able to operate lab equipment properly and safely, including, but not limited to:

Surface tensiometer

Microscope o

Scales / Analytical balances

Viscometers

Spectrophotometers

Conductivity meters

Energy curable light sources (UV, LED, E-beam)

FTIR

Refractive Index

Colorimeters

MS Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Organized and detail oriented.

Ability to collect data and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Good oral communication and mechanically competent.

Ability to gather, measure, and utilize statistical data. Employee must be able to do calculations involving percentage and basic algebra.

Communicate with other departments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and operate scientific lab equipment. Must be able to move around the lab and manufacturing floor, negotiating stairs, ramps and uneven floor surfaces with exposure to a typical shop environment, i.e. extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements. Must also be able to work in typical office conditions and sit to work at a computer. Must be able to reach up and across the body and manipulate equipment. Must wear required PPE, including respirator training and certification (specifically raw materials). This position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling all day. Specifically, the individuals must be able to: Occasionally move items up 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
