The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining all assets in the production facility. This position responds promptly to equipment breakdowns, repairs machinery in a timely manner, and performs planned and unscheduled work as necessary. The role also ensures a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations and efficiently utilizes maintenance resources.Benefits:

Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions.
Identify sources of mechanical problems by observing equipment operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment, complete corrective maintenance work orders, and handle all related documentation, including work orders and parts inventories.
Minimize downtime by educating production workers on preventive maintenance techniques, ensuring compliance, and providing assistance as needed to maintain optimal line efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or instructions.
Proficient computer skills.
Capability to multi-task.
Skill in adjusting equipment speeds, temperatures, and liquid levels.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex process issues.
Ability to make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic adjustments.
Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and machine schematics (preferred).
Ability to comprehend complex processing equipment.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience.
Advanced knowledge and preferred 2+ years of experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment.
Certification from technical schooling in a related field is a plus.
