Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Scheduler in the healthcare industry. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, you will be crucial in managing patient appointments and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. Your role will involve coordinating closely with healthcare practitioners, managing patient waitlists, and maintaining up-to-date patient records.Responsibilities: Oversee patient appointment schedules, including creating and adjusting appointments as necessary. Provide patients with confirmed schedules and manage patient waitlists effectively. Work closely with healthcare practitioners to ensure a seamless appointment process. Handle patient inquiries and provide guidance on preparations ahead of appointments. Record initial patient details and guide patients throughout the healthcare facility. Manage medical data flow by maintaining up-to-date patient records. Ensure all necessary information, such as test results, lab reports, and medical histories, are readily available for healthcare providers before appointments. Maintain patient confidentiality due to constant exposure to sensitive health data. Manage billing data and work with insurance-related documents, when necessary. Utilize various systems and tools such as EPIC or Athen to support patient management and appointment scheduling. Answer inbound calls and assist patients in a customer service capacity.Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in EHR SYSTEM Experience in answering inbound calls Ability to assist patients in a professional and empathetic manner Previous experience in a call center or customer service role Proficiency in confirming and coordinating appointments Experience with EMR/EHR systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines High school diploma or equivalent education level Proficiency in using basic office equipment and computer software Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent customer service skills and patient-oriented approach Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if required.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
