Mid-Level Environmental Scientist

AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist to join our EHS Department in either our Cincinnati, OH or Minneapolis, MN offices.  The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance, reporting, permitting, and environmental field sampling/monitoring.  The successful candidate will have enough experience to be able to independently conduct field work and prepare the associated reports for a wide variety of national / international private and public sector clients across the United States.The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:Successfully execute environmental permitting and compliance projects while meeting cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectivesExecute projects involving SPCC, stormwater, NPDES, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, EMS, air quality and other environmental regulatory compliance services including regulatory research, compliance planning and auditing, creating spreadsheets, and compiling and writing reports and other documentsInterpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations. Draft corrective actions to prevent incident reoccurrencesCreate and submit state and federal environmental reportsProvide recommendations and develop innovative solutions to compliance issuesConduct environmental due diligence assessments (Phase I and II)Collaborate with project teams to develop work programs designed to provide innovative and progressive project solutions for compliance issuesRegular travel is required to client sites as necessaryDevelop and maintain positive relationships with clients to enhance client retention and growthFamiliarity with project management, including preparation of scope and cost estimates, financial and budgetary management, resource allocation and scheduling, health and safety management and engagement of subcontractorsEffective verbal and written communication, liaison and management of clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and analytical laboratoriesAbout AECOM’s Environment Business Line
