In this internship you will support basic purchasing, subcontracting, expediting, supplier quality, and/or material management efforts for multiple clients within the Life Sciences Industry. Join a knowledgeable and supportive team as you solve problems, think critically, and provide supply chain support on multi-million-dollar capital purchases and construction subcontracts. Daily work activities will include development of solicitation packages, coordination and resolution of supplier questions, evaluation of proposals, day-to-day progress tracking of existing orders, coordination of shop visits and inspections, support in the management of onsite materials and utilization of Supply Management Systems to manage orders and agreement.The Procurement Intern reports directly to the Manager of Procurement Services (MOPS) for the office which they are assigned. Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program with emphasis in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management
3.0 GPA or higher
Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
An expressed interest in pursuing a career in Procurement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
A drive to solve complex and challenging problems.
