Quality Technician

Job Title: Quality Technician (RI Cert Review) Job Code: 15890 Job Location: Cincinnati, OH (On-Site) Job Schedule: 1st Shift 4/10’s Job Description: The Quality Technician will be responsible for performing Certification review for highly complex mechanical parts, Mil spec electronics and PWB components. Essential Functions:

Reviewing First Article documentation of incoming material to quality assurance provisions, Mil specs, customer requirements, specific material requirements, and regulatory requirements.

Reviews conformance to outlined quality assurance and contractual requirements.

Assists in evaluating test data and material requirements.

Identifies deficiencies and collaborates with Program Quality, Supplier Quality, and Procurement to make recommendations for compliance and acceptance based on certification review.

Routinely supports and interfaces with Supplier Quality, Program Quality, and Procurement.

Performs detailed review of documentation including FAI’s, engineering drawing requirements and conformance to precise specifications.

Performs review of key product/process characteristics per contractual requirements.

Verifies sampling plans, COC’s, material certifications and part revision levels.

Use established guidelines and quality assurance provisions to ensure compliance.

Communicates quality requirement deficiencies and documentation concerns to the appropriate quality support (QE / SQE) team.

Interacts with RI, Supplier Quality, Program Quality and Procurement as necessary.

Must be an able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Requires developing job knowledge/skills typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent with four (4) years in a technical environment related to required skill sets.

2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of technical environment related to required skill sets.

Two (2) years or more experience with and knowledge of Engineering drawings, Manufacturing standards.

Four (4) years or more experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Two (2) years or more experience related to Certification review.

Must be a United States Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

TIPQA data management software experience.

MIL-STD drawings and requirements.

AS9100 requirements.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Knowledge of Costpoint software.
