Delve into relevant economic papers from NBER and other academic and professional sources to help the team to better understand and explain economic challenges and collect and analyze relevant economic indicators and data

Create executive summaries of findings in a manner that is relevant and accessible to non-economists

Prepare charts and graphs using Haver analytics and excel using economic data

Follow and report to the team on U.S., OECD and Emerging Market data release dashboards such as Employment, CPI, PPI, Housing Starts, Existing home sales, new home sales, ISM Manufacturing, and ISM services

Communicate relevant and accurate information, clearly and concisely during formal or informal meetings

Qualifications:

Minimum one year of recent experience in economic research or investment bank training program preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, history, or other social science with a focus on economics and statistics; master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred

Possess a passion to learn about a range of industries and to incorporate industry knowledge with economic knowledge and to communicate this combined knowledge into presentations and written materials; ability to be autodidactic as well as someone who seeks out information from others on the team as well as from a wide variety of published research and external experts

Strong user in Microsoft Excel and Power Point required; knowledge of R, Stata, Mathlab, Eviews, Haver Analytics, Bloomberg API, Wrangler, SQL, NOSQL a plus

Capability to build relationships, collaborate with other economists and team members, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

Proven experience in researching and communicating findings in written work that include visual aids such as graphs and tables; excellent written, analytical and communication skills
