General Statement of DutiesThis employee provides advanced-level analytical and technical professional work in the implementation of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program, which strives to increase opportunities for small businesses interested in doing business with MSD. The employee has primary responsibility to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures in accordance with the MSD SBE Rules and Guidelines and divisional and departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities include establishing SBE goals for upcoming projects; reviewing bids and proposals; tracking, monitoring and reporting SBE spend and related activities; representing the SBE Program at presentations, meetings, trainings and events at MSD and in the community (during and after business hours); producing communications for distribution to internal and external partners; maintaining positive relationships with MSD staff and the business community; and other related administrative duties. The employee works under the supervision of the MSD Wastewater Administration Division and may interface with various MSD staff members, including MSD leadership, MSD procurement, and MSD project managers. The employee may supervise lower-level SBE staff. In addition, other administrative duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)(Illustrative only.
