Job Description
Seeking a talented Spotfire / Tableau Server Consultant to join its growing Data & Analytics practice. The person in this role works closely with clients to understand, install, configure, and make recommendations on best practices on the data visualization Server.
The candidate will:

• Plan, design, and execute performance tests of platforms
• Develop and document technical architecture, system designs, performance test results, and other technical aspects of Tableau/Spotfire implementations
• Provide infrastructure and platform sizing for projects, including hardware and software requirements
• Administer and support a multi-tier infrastructure create and manage groups, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections
• Administer and support Platforms like Unix Servers, Spotfire Caching, Scheduling Projects Spaces.
• Create and edit sites and corresponding administration rights (System vs. Content)
• Support platform administration including Infrastructure Builds and Maintenance, performance testing, and maintained application availability
• Gather requirements, implement, and support multi node server installations
• Work with teams to monitor, tune and optimize performance (system and application)
• Create best practice guides and work with development teams to implement them.
• Work with the customers and vendor for problem resolution
• Work with teams and support in the migration of objects.
• Assist users and developers when updates are available and help them in adapting to changes
• Manage development, QA, User Acceptance Testing and product environments
• Design and maintenance of the server architecture (multiple environments)
• Develops, tests, and implements system changes, upgrades and patches
• Responsible for onboarding and maintaining a wide variety of data sources to include various OS, appliance, and application logs
• Participates in performance testing to ensure Server meets customer application SLAs
• Consults with business teams on matters relating to system connections, security, user accounts, and creation of data models.
• Assists users with use of BI applications to drive business value.
• Monitors and maintains system performance and provides statistical reporting
• Performs systems modification impact analysis
• Bring experience with Extensions and Embedding

Qualifications

• Support server installations/configuration in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience configuring and administering Spotfire Server components TIBCO Spotfire, Application Data Services and Automation Services.
• Should be familiar with Spotfire Administrative tasks, installation/configuration of servers and clients.
• Managing and Migration of Spotfire contents, Security Setup, designing Information Links, setting up licenses and preferences
• Deploying Spotfire Packages and upgrade
• Experience in user training, resolving day to day issues and coordination with TIBCO technical support
• Expert in the creation of dashboards, reports, information links, and teaching users how to do so
• Working experience/conceptual knowledge in BI/DWH/ETL concepts and tools
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in the use of Data Visualization software or equivalent.
• Windows client OS, Networking and Wireless Protocols, and Active Directory
• Experience with scripting languages and concepts to automate manual processes
• Tableau/Spotfire or other Visual Analytics tool experience preferred
• Managing and administering various Sites on Visual Analytics Server
• 3+ years' experience writing business requirements, technical analysis and design, coding, testing, and implementations of customizations within the Visual Analytics software environment
• Strong oral and data communication skills
• Configure server security as required (Single sign-on (SSO), Kerberos, Active Directory (AD), SAML, SSL)
