Description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Attorney to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position can be 100% remote in the Cincinnati area. The Staff Attorney will function within the legal industry, providing key insights and making important decisions that impact both our team and our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the field of Criminal Law and Prosecution, and to contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch legal services.Responsibilities: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, dispositions, and pleadings Provide legal advice to clients and work on legal issues Represent clients in court and before government agencies Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case Conducts investigations and statistical/documentary research Liaise with teams to develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal cases Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businessesRequirements Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar is necessary. Proficiency in Criminal Law and Prosecution is required. Should have prior experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must demonstrate high levels of professional ethics and integrity. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills are necessary. Must be detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying legal issues and risks. Ability to work independently and within a team is required. Excellent drafting and contract interpretation skills are necessary. Must possess a strong understanding of court procedures and rules.
