Sleepy Bee Café in Blue Ash is looking for a day time prep cook. This position would work out of our commissary kitchen, providing soups, sauces, salad dressings, proteins, and other food items to all of our locations. If you enjoy working with food, using quality and local ingredients, and working in a fun, professionally oriented environment, then this job would be great for you. We are looking for a part-time position to start which could lead to a full-time position in several months. We offer day time hours and flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities:
Following recipes, prep specifications and quality standards on all food production tasks
Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld always
Utilizing knives and performing food prep in a safe and efficient manner
Delivering of goods to other locations, and following directions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Prior high-volume production/prep cooking experience preferred
Knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation procedures
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must understand and execute food safety and sanitation protocols
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift
Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices as well as the correct set up, break down and cleaning protocols of kitchen equipment
Dependable vehicle
Weekend availability preferred
