The Baker's Table in Newport, KY is looking for a dynamic and passionate server to join our team. We are a national award-winning restaurant specializing in rustic, seasonal cuisine and drink. We source ingredients locally, and we respect old-world handcrafted culinary traditions. We seek to grow our team into a James Beard caliber restaurant in the Ohio Valley.
Successful candidates for this position will:
- Have at least 2 years experience serving at excellence-driven casual or fine dining establishments
- Have a working competency with wine service
- Be passionate about delicious, seasonal food
- Have a genuine love of caring for others
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Attend weekly educational meetings on wine, spirits, coffee and service
- Study and learn the food, drink and wine menus in accordance with company standards
- Execute all required side-work and cleaning tasks to prepare the restaurant for guests and the following service
- Successfully execute busy service without loosing calm and focus
- Accurately process cash and tips at the end of the shift
This is a full-time equivalent position. Hourly base pay plus tips.
