We are hiring a Service Manager for our Buffalo Wild Wings Sports Bar. This position is part of a 4-manager team. Previous full-service restaurant experience preferred. 45-hour work week, and open availability is a must.
POSITION PURPOSE The Service Manager position creates legendary experiences for guests by assisting the management team in managing shift operations, providing support, and coaching to team members to ensure tasks are performed effectively. The Service Manager is also directly accountable for assisting in the execution and performance of takeout operations and the guest entry experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the operation of the sports bar, conducting effective zone management throughout each shift Provides support to team members and managers and adds energy to each area of the sports bar Diligently follows and enforces food, liquor and general safety requirements are being followed and models behavior that protects them and others Coaches team member behaviors and makes recommendations for the counseling, discipline and termination of team members Interacts with guests in the dining room and the bar, makes personal connections and seeks specific feedback about their experience Directly responsible for adherence, execution and coaching of the current service model Conducts pre and post shift meetings Handles team members’ complaints or concerns by actively listening, involving the necessary individuals and investigating and resolving where appropriate Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws Interviews hourly candidates and makes hiring and promotion recommendations to the Kitchen Manager, Assistant General Manager (AGM) and General Manager (GM) Supports the management of cost of sales (COS), comps, voids and discounts (CVDs) and labor related costs Ensures compliance with all company sales building initiatives and ensures that proper steps of service are executed Trains team members and carries out the proper execution of the loyalty program Assists with activation rollouts and introductions of new products, tools and services Completes all manager tools on time and with integrity Manages the balance of labor hours and service efficiency during their shift to meet labor guidelines without sacrificing guest service Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications, such as Responsible Alcohol Service and Food Safety. Conducts various functions as assigned including, but not limited to: inventory, product ordering, product receiving, scheduling, invoice entry, sports bar organization, line checks, QSCs and equipment checks Responsible for Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), Market Force and other guest feedback metrics Assists in creating strategic plans for takeout and delivery based on guest feedback metrics Other duties as assigned
