Job Title: Registered Pharmacist
Location: 3101 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229
Job Overview:
- We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to work in support of the Cincinnati Health Department neighborhood health pharmacies.
- This is a Monday-Friday, 40 hour per week position.
- Position is a temporary hire, but there is an opportunity to be hired directly by the Cincinnati Health Department at the end of the position based on performance.
- Position duration is estimated June 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medication in Cincinnati Health Department neighborhood health center pharmacies with appropriate instructions to the patient using accepted pharmaceutical practices after checking the patient’s chart and medication profiles for errors and conformity with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records of all medication received and dispensed in the pharmacy.
- Supervise technicians in the clinic pharmacy.
- Assist the clinic and clinic laboratory staff with their ordering of supplies.
- Provide pharmaceutical information to the medical staff as requested.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently registered by the State of Ohio as a pharmacist.
- Must have a good knowledge of Ohio drug laws, pharmacology, and inventory procedures.
- Must have good computer skills and experience with pharmacy software, have good communication skills and be effective when dealing with patients and the clinic personnel.
- Ambulatory or clinical experience desired but not mandatory.
