S.I. Concrete is a commercial concrete and industrial flooring contractor with nearly 20 years in the field. We are looking to expand our team. No experience required. An ideal candidate is responsible, disciplined, and displays a strong physical work ethic. If you're able to show up with a solid attitude, a willingness to learn, and a dependable work ethic. We will teach you the trade.
We are looking for motivated candidates with a desire to learn concrete forming, finishing, and polishing.
No experience required but we may increase starting wages based upon individual experience.
All tools are provided.
Basic Qualifications:
MUST have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. You may be asked to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands.
Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials is a plus.
Ability to lift 60 pounds.
Overtime is available throughout the year.
We work year round.
Responsibilities:
The Concrete Apprentice will perform many tasks that require physical labor on construction sites.
Basic duties include:
Concrete demolition and removal.
Supporting skilled tradesmen, and immediately begin learning the preparation/finishing process.
Subgrade preparation.
Steel reinforcement preparation.
Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment
Clean up the worksite at the end of each day.
Follow all instructions from the team leader. Actively seek the next task.
Be on time and reliable.
Works well with others, takes directions, and asks questions when uncertain.
Starting pay is $18/hr with overtime available most weeks. Weekly pay periods. Great opportunities for growth and development based strictly on performance.
We need disciplined, dependable, and responsible candidates only. If you're able to bring those basic traits to the table. We will teach you the rest.
Possible increase in starting wages if:
Knowledge/Experience in finishing concrete, carpentry, or mechanical polishing. Starting pay based upon applicable experience.
Ability to operate machinery.
