GRANTIE COUNTERTOP MANAGER NEEDED

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shop manager must have Granite, Quartz fabrication or installation experiance and will overseeand and work closely, in a hands-on manner within the production department: Cutting, Fabrication, Polishing, Quality Control, and Installation, and maintain excellent communication between all departments and our clients. Duties will include ensuring the quality delivery of the right amount of products within the established deadline managing communication on customer profiles in our company software, and communicating with all suppliers, regarding delivery updates, and new orders. To be successful in this role, you will need to have fabrication experience, an understanding of operations, and demonstrate superb organizational skills.

OBJECTIVES

Ensure Quality and Timely Product Delivery:Consistently meet production deadlines by delivering the correct amount of high-quality granite products in accordance with customer requirements and project specifications.

Coordinate Production Departments for Optimal Workflow:Effectively oversee and synchronize operations across Cutting, Fabrication, Polishing, Quality Control, and Installation departments to enhance production efficiency and inter-departmental collaboration.

Optimize Fabrication Costs and Budget Management:Execute the fabrication budget efficiently by monitoring expenses, minimizing waste, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to maximize profitability without compromising quality.

Recruit, Train, and Manage Staff Performance:Lead recruitment and training efforts to build a skilled and high-performing team. Address performance issues proactively through corrective action plans and, when necessary, manage redundancies with professionalism and fairness.

Facilitate Operational Meetings and Set Objectives:Conduct weekly operational meetings to set clear goals for the upcoming week, review performance against the previous week’s objectives, and implement necessary adjustments to achieve targets.

Maintain Open Communication with Company Ownership:Keep company owners informed by preparing and presenting comprehensive management reports that highlight key performance indicators, production updates, and strategic recommendations.

Coordinate Layouts and Ensure Client Satisfaction:Work closely with clients during the slab layout process to help them choose the parts of the slabs they prefer. Address any issues or mistakes promptly and implement corrective actions that ensure client satisfaction and maintain high-quality standards

COMPETENCIES

Stone manufacturing- Ability to cut, fabricate and install granite or quartz countertops.

Leadership: Ability to manage and develop a high-performing production team.

Client Relations: Strong focus on client satisfaction and effective issue resolution.

Budget Management: Proficient in managing costs and optimizing resource allocation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Stone manufacturing experience required

GED or high school diploma preferred administrative roles

Experience supervising a team of 5–10 employees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and move around the production floor for extended periods.

Capability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in a noisy and physically demanding environment, including exposure to dust and heavy machinery

Pay: $75,689.00 - $85,650.00 per year
