IMMEDIATE START. We are looking for a dedicated full-time officer for a multi-building apartment complex in Walnut Hills. The initial schedule will be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 5pm - 5am.
The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. Candidate must also be able to manage time and work independently.
Responsibilities of the position are as follows:
-Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
-Operate 2-way radio communication
-Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
-Deter wrongdoers or trespassers from the property
-Ensure all exits and doors are secured at all times
-Check surveillance cameras regularly to identify suspicious activity; responding to suspicious activity once identified
-Respond to alarms on the property by investigating and assessing the situation
-Provide assistance to tenants of the property as needed
-Coordinate with local emergency services and law enforcement as dictated by protocol
-Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
The potential candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills as this position regularly deals with tenants and their guests, and other community members where perception is key.
PREFERRED qualifications:
-1-2 years minimum experience working in security and/or working with surveillance cameras
-Active OPOTA certification
-Uniform will be provided, but candidate must have their own gear (can be discussed)
Position is contingent on passing a background check, as well as a minimum 3-month probationary period to ensure the candidate is able to carry out the requirements of the post satisfactorily.
