We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, tile, laminate, and vinyl, in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with floor preparation, cutting, fitting, and ensuring proper alignment and finishing of flooring materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas.
Prepare subfloors, including removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and applying adhesives or underlayment as required.
Install hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, and other types of flooring materials.
Ensure high-quality, precise installation and finishing of flooring.
Work with a variety of tools, such as saws, drills, and flooring nailers.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards on job sites.
Communicate with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction and project completion.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a floor installer or in a related trade.
Knowledge of various flooring types and installation techniques.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and floor plans.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or training in flooring installation (e.g., from a trade school or apprenticeship).
Experience with commercial or large-scale flooring installations.
