Most painting projects are interior rental houses and apartment repaints. Houses have a lot of variables like size and style so those are paid $19 an hour. Apartments are paid by the job. It’s a very fair rate that equals $19 an hour for an average painter and more than $19 an hour for an efficient painter. There are sometimes some small exterior projects.
