REGIONAL SYSTEM OPERATOR (RSO)

Ecotone Renewables is an early-stage manufacturing company building a world without waste. They are building, deploying, and operating ZEUS anaerobic digesters to upcycle food waste into organic fertilizer and renewable biogas. These systems are typically deployed as on-site food waste solutions for schools, hospitals, offices, and food service businesses.
The Regional System Operator (RSO) is responsible for operating and maintaining ZEUS digesters at client sites, ensuring optimal performance and production of Soil Sauce organic fertilizer. This part-time contractor role (10-20 hours/week) focuses on the daily operation and monitoring of our innovative waste processing systems.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Manage the entire production cycle, from processing organic waste through the ZEUS digester to harvesting and packaging the final Soil Sauce product.
Maintain detailed operational records including feeding metrics, pH levels, and production volumes while ensuring all safety protocols and quality standards are met.
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the digester systems.
The role requires a combination of hands-on operational skills and professional communication abilities. They work independently to maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with various stakeholders including clients and waste haulers. As an ambassador for Ecotone in their region, they may also assist with business development activities and system demonstrations for potential partners.

Required Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent
● 2-5 years experience in industrial or agricultural operations
● Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
● Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule

● Experience with waste management or recycling operations
● Background in agriculture or food service
