Midwest Fleet Services is full-service vehicle maintenance company specializing in the repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of corporate fleets of trucks, tractors, trailers, and tankers. Our Customer base includes some of the top names in the transportation industry. Our operations are divided into 3 segments; Power Shop, Tank Shop, Trailer Shop.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our Power Shop under the direction of our Power Shop Manager to assist in our truck and tractor repair & maintenance operations.
Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of medium & heavy diesel truck maintenance and repair, including computer diagnostics, A/C, ABS, suspension, and preventive maintenance. The candidate must possess the skills of a master diesel technician. Excellent and verifiable references from former employers and known industry sources. (ASE, etc.) certifications (ASE, etc) and industry sponsored training are a plus. The ability to work and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work through complex repair situations resulting in acceptable outcomes is critical. Strong Customer Service and people skills. The ability to learn our maintenance software. A working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) is strongly preferred. The ability & desire to follow and maintain company policies and procedures to a high level.
Job Duties:
Interact with Customers regarding accepting & scheduling work into the shop as well as updating job progress. Generate and update repair orders using TMW/TMT maintenance software. Assure all paperwork is in order when turned in by the techs. Assist in the ordering of parts for the techs supervise the work of the techs on the floor and review each job to assure quality standards are maintained. Provide technical assistance and direction to techs where necessary. Perform random quality control audits on PMI services. Assume various other duties as assigned.
