Guests feel it; you'll feel it too.What You'll DoWe're looking for a motivated Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team! The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the following: managing the full month end and close process, supervising a small team, monthly forecasting, participating actively in the annual budget process, and other special projects. This position will interact with both Corporate and property level employees, corporate senior management, and various vendors.Some of your responsibilities include:

Run the monthly close process, including maintenance of detailed close calendar/checklist, and first level review of monthly financial statements.

Responsible for month end consolidations.

Primary reviewer of all balance sheet reconciliations, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Lead accounting department employees, including accounts payable, payroll, and staff accountants.

Train and mentor accounting team members, provide feedback and coaching.

Responsible for monthly forecasting including interaction with department heads including top-level executives.

Be an active team member in annual budget process.

Identify and evaluate opportunities to streamline processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Serve as a contact with external auditors for annual financial statement audits.

Lead the preparation of Sales & Use Tax returns and Property Tax returns.

Research and resolve escalated accounting issues.

Various special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

2 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the Hospitality industry.

Fundamental understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Excellent organizational and planning skills: task prioritization and effective time management.

Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to work across many departments to problem solve and achieve results with a variety of people and personalities in a timely manner.

Deep understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel.

Prior experience using accounting software such as PeopleSoft and/or Blackline is preferred.
