The Applications Engineer is responsible for software-specific support of our installation team to include the integration / interface of multiple disparate software applications into fully functioning solutions. This position will be responsible for all levels of system head-end commissioning, upgrades, and advanced diagnostics to achieve the defined functionality of systems operation. The Applications Engineer should be capable of utilizing existing SDK’s and/or API’s to ensure the desired level of integration and should be capable to perform customized integration between software applications. The Applications Engineer’s schedule will be coordinated by Operations and Project Managers to be effectively and efficiently utilized.HIRING IMMEDIATELYRESPONSIBILITIES:

Capable of advanced integration between disparate electronic security systems

LAN & Network configurations experience include wireless communications system.

Perform system diagnostic and troubleshooting duties to ensure a fully functioning system

Work with Project Managers, End Users and Technician team to provide assistance in regards to the software systems

Troubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate resources as needed.

Escalate significant issues to management team as needed.

Work with the Project Management team to coordinate project and work schedules to ensure project efficiencies

Work with Operations Manager to schedule and maintain appropriate licensing and software trainings for professional development

Take the lead in End User Software training

SE will work with the PM, AMAG and stakeholders to suggest adjustments and implement changes to the standards as required.

The SE will closely follow each installation and together with the Seller team, support each project to the point of client acceptance and turnover to Customer Support.

The SE will work in concert with the PM to assure adherence and full compliance with customer IT and Security Standards.

The SE will be expected to interface with other departments within the organization to ensure that the systems and solutions have been properly configured, thoroughly tested and are ready for delivery and installation.

Maintain Physical Security Test Lab that the physical security and technology teams will be utilizing to test Access Control, Video and other related technologies. Make ongoing adjustments as needed.

Preventative maintenance the PSC (AMAG Access Control) application in UAT, QA and PROD environments.

Produce training plans and material, documentation, assist in implementing configurations, performing testing, conducting training, and assisting in the closeout.

Produce and maintain runbook for maintenance. Assist with creating procedures and workflows as it relates to Symmetry, Connect and Guest.

Produce weekly health check reports with direction from stakeholders.

Ongoing support of the deployed AMAG solution in the customer environment.

Support customer in documenting standards for install, labelling, planning and programming. These standards will be added to the operational runbook for the access control system.

Create and maintain master inventory of assets relating to (panels, card readers, and any supplementary devices supporting card access). Master inventory includes information such as model numbers, serial numbers, IP addresses, location, asset tag number, etc. to uniquely identify devices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent required; a BA/BS Degree preferred

In-depth knowledge of industry-leading security system and equipment providers

Certification with major enterprise level security/access control systems preferred

Decision-making and problem-solving ability

Ability to read and understand advanced technical information and documentation

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers

Must be detail-oriented and organized

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Strong time management skills

Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others

Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines

Possess excellent follow-up skills

Certifications in the following Software platforms are preferred
