We offer full day year-round programs that focus on the development of our student's communication, socialization, and academics.As a Classroom Behavioral Therapist, you will be part of a team that focuses on delivering exceptional, compassionate care to help students reach their full potential. In this position, you will:

Implement specific curricula designed to work toward each child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.

Monitor individual and group programs.

Provide daily student supervision.

Maintain responsibility for student safety, schedules and progress.

Acquires baseline data and implements approved program using appropriate behavioral technology neutrally and consistently.

Baselines, tracks and records child's progress.

Maintains daily records including daily collection of teaching and behavior management; graphs on all teaching and behavior programs.

Assesses, develops and implements on-going novel and age appropriate student reinforcement.

Applies appropriate and specific reinforcement throughout the day.

Assists in organizing and participating in structured group activities utilizing leader-prompter model and reinforcement.

Participates equally with other CBTs in supervising students in all activities.

When students are not present, follows supervisory instructions and takes initiative to determine program needs that will enhance student performance (creating new materials, schedules and reading pertinent research regarding applied behavior analysis, etc.).

Administers assessments under the supervision of the teacher or appropriate staff according to program guidelines.

Assists in creating and implementing individual educational plans for each student.

Creates and edits therapy reports according to deadlines.

Attends conferences as needed/requested by supervisor.

Develops and implements individualized schedules for each student.

Identifies, analyzes and troubleshoots individual student's program including curricula, behavior and environmental considerations.

Maintains professional communication with families through authorized daily notes and phone calls.

Assists in hands-on parent training practicum during the parents school visits.

Maintains daily cleanliness and organization of student environments.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Certifications:

Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education: permit must be pending prior to start date; or Ohio teaching license.

Work Experience:

None required.

Physical Requirements:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting students, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, physically able to manage students of varying weight and sizes. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
