Description We are looking for a Collections Specialist based in South San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for performing business-to-business collections in assigned regions, establishing and maintaining control over cash collection performance and customer service, and improving Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). You will collaborate with sales and operations to resolve issues and meet customer billing requirements. Responsibilities: Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize cash received and drive improvement in DSO. Ensure that the branches in the Texas region meet or exceed metrics set for daily, weekly, and monthly cash collection, including but not limited to customer contact, collection calls, and cash collected standards. Provide reporting on the performance of the Collections, including but not limited to cash collected, the number of clients contacted, and past due balance reduction. Address internal and external collection escalations as well as high profile and/or complex collection situations in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare reports and attend weekly / monthly calls and meetings with GM / Finance / Operations / Corporate Collections. Establish strong partnerships and interactions with Operations and Accounting to support customers' needs. Work closely with the Billers and Corporate Cash Applications to resolve issues and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Initiate and coordinate activities with Collection agencies, attorneys, courts, pre-liens, lien actions, and security documents. Work on other duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including skills such as Pivot Table Solid understanding of Collection Processes, Invoice, Billing, and Finance operations Proven experience in Customer Service and Sales Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with experience in Metric Reporting Ability to handle Cash Activity and Cash Applications Experience in using ERP Solutions and ProFile Capacity to lead special projects and resolve issues effectively Skills in preparing detailed and accurate reports Familiarity with Security procedures and protocols in a collections environment Adept with Workstation Support and Liens Strong written communication skills, with the ability to be a good communicator Experience with A Plus software is a benefit Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving and analytical skills High level of professionalism and ethical standards Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision Flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
