Data Reporting Director

Description We are looking for an outstanding Data Reporting Director to join our team. This role will lead the development and execution of our reporting and business intelligence strategy. This role encompasses the management of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (CoE) and the oversight of data reporting initiatives, in addition to translating Chief Data and Architecture Office goals into multiple reporting levels—tactical, operational, and strategic, as well as user-focused, management, and board.Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Drive the vision for the Business Intelligence CoE, ensuring best practices in data analytics and reporting.

Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the creation and maintenance of data reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes including gathering requirements, ensuring data integrations, building design frameworks, developing dashboards, and ongoing communications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide actionable insights,

Center of Excellence Management: Manage the Business Intelligence CoE, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. Provide expertise and guidance on data governance, analytics tools, and methodologies.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on data initiatives. Gather feedback to refine data reporting and analytics processes.

Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives. Continuously assess and improve reporting processes and tools.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience

10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field

5+ years of hands on management experience with a proven track record of leading and growing successful data teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of data governance and best practices in reporting.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and database management systems.

Ability to foster an inclusive and innovative working environment

Demonstrated negotiation, influencing, partnership & presentation/communication skills

Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into value added, data driven solutions

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong problem-solving and demonstrated decision making skills

Knowledgeable and experience with data management processes and reference data, systems and technologies

Demonstrated perseverance

Outcome focused
