Operate, or tend presses and forging machines to perform hot or cold forging by flattening, straightening or bending metal
Identify and manage processing sequences and furnace temperature
Operate Heavy Industrial Machinery
Perform dye checks of forgings
Examine raw materials to verify quality is up to standard for forging
Work with metals that go up to 800 degrees

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Cleveland, Ohio.Work EnvironmentThis department inspects finished forged metals. It will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. This is a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with metals weighing anywhere from 20 - 350 lbs, all moved via crane or automated robot. Inspectors will have assigned workstations but will move around to perform different quality testing. Must be open to all shifts: 1st (7:00am - 3:00pm), 2nd (3:00pm - 11:00pm), 3rd (11:00pm - 7:00am). This is a Union environment with a 12 on 2 off schedule (every other weekend off).
