This enrichment initiative is designed for high school juniors interested in pursuing careers in Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing. The Howley ASPIRE Pathways focuses on providing participants with career options and critical skill sets to support their transition through higher education, entry into the workforce, and beyond. This 12-week hands-on enrichment program will offer instruction to high school juniors to develop their understanding of careers in Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing. Students can expect to be enlightened on, but not limited to exploration of Respiratory Therapy, exploration of Sterile Processing, exploration of Surgical Technology, CPR certification/Heart Saver and mock code, shadow and hands-on experience, college and on-the-job training, collaboration with experts in healthcare and advanced medical training equipment.A caregiver in this position typically works 8:00am - 4:30pm but must remain flexible to work other hours and some weekends. You will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule.A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform comprehensive Caregiver risk assessments to determine risk stratification level and follow-up cadence for individualized coaching for up to one year.

Manage a caregiver caseload of 100+ caregivers at various risk stratification levels.

Engage caregivers in the development of an individualized plan to address barriers by reducing and/or eliminating social, psychological, financial, behavioral and regulatory barriers to facilitate successful first-year employment.

Maintain a network of resources for internal and external consultation and assist caregivers with linkage to resources to facilitate optimal support.

Document professional recommendations, coordination interventions and individualized coaching plans in accordance with HIPPA.

Utilize a tracking system to document and track caregiver demographic information, risk stratification level, and interventions, tools and referrals used to support caregiver success.

Act as a liaison between caregivers, unit leadership and Human Resources to support caregiver success and address urgent or emerging concerns.

Collaborate with Human Resources and unit leadership on investigations and development of performance improvement plans.

Educate caregivers on career pathway options in support of career progression and support academic transition.

Track current and emerging entry-level workforce trends and concerns.

Design, revise, and facilitate core curriculum and professional development workshops to support workforce readiness.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor's degree in a human services field (mental health counseling, psychology, social work, etc.) or nursing.

Two or more years of human services-related work.

Ability to facilitate large group training sessions and provide one-on-one coaching to individuals.

Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization by participating on committees, supporting management and advocating for caregivers.

Set the tone for caring and compassion through communication and facilitation.

Excellent interpersonal skills, as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication.

Demonstrated cultural competency across diverse cultures and socioeconomic statuses.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Human Resources certification.

One year of experience in group/individual facilitation in a counseling or teaching environment.

Requires periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system.

Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.

Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites. Ability to work evenings and weekends, when necessary, to represent THRIVE program, conduct training sessions and attend community events.

Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $22.85Maximum hourly: $34.85The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
