Manufacturing Engineer

Description: Lead the implementation into manufacturing of all new, changed, or improved products Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes Work closely with quality and manufacturing to implement measurement and process control techniques Design and develop tooling and processes to ensure effective and efficient production methods Develop sources for and collaborate with vendors to develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials Assist operations on estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data Design and develop a structured process for improvement and coordinate product/process changes (ECR / PCR process) Design, develop and implement fixtures and tooling that are consistent with low defect levels and low product cost Create and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings and equipment design concepts, with R&D and quality assurance functions. Provide engineering support to production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problemsSkills:Manufacturing engineering, solidworks, Process improvement, manufacturing process, tooling, machining, fabricationTop Skills Details:Manufacturing engineering,solidworksAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering If no degree , should have 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience 5 years plus of Manufacturing Engineering experience with tooling, machining or fabricating processes Experience using Solidworks, Creo, or Pro-E Ability to read technical drawings / blueprints Previous experience with work cells, work instructions or ordering parts Nice to haves: Prior experience with compression/transfer molding and industrial paint Prior experience with CNC programming (HAAS, Mazak) Prior experience with robotics (FANUC, UR, Doosan) Experience with a statistical software package such as SQC Pack or Mini Tab This individual should be a self starter and motivated DON'T INCLUDE IN POSTINGS: Industrial Engineering degree fits really wellExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
