Stroke Rehabilitation

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating & drinking

Answering call lights & taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed).

Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy.

Personnel PCNA will work with :

RNs, LPNs, Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians.

Number of beds on unit:

14 beds

High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.

Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as an STNA is optional after employment in this position).

1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
