Remote isavailable, however, incumbent must be in a reasonable commuting distancefrom a primary office location. Also must be available to work local hours(8AM-5PM).Responsible for planning and

conducting programs to educate patients about nutrition and administering

medical nutrition therapy.Primary duties may include, but

are not limited to:

Conductsa nutrition assessment and obtains nutrition history from patient.

Consultswith physician and other health care personnel to determine patient'snutritional needs and diet restrictions.

Planstherapeutic diets and implements preparation and service of meals for patientsin hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility.

Instructspatients about the meal plan and dietary changes, and establishes goals andobjectives to help meet the plan.

Evaluatesnutritional care and provides follow-up continuity of care. Documents nutritioncare plans.

Inspectsmeals served for conformance to prescribed diets. Instructs patients and theirfamilies in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, andpreparation.

Educatesstaff on nutrition and diet therapy.

Requiresa BA/BS; 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education andexperience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Registereddietitian required.
