Position Summary This role will be the lead SQL Server resource for the Enterprise Database Team. This position will collaborate with other database administrators and information technology teams to lead the day to day operations of numerous Database Management Systems. The Digital and IT Functional Specialist is focused on continuous improvement, both personal, business and technical expertise, in support of the Digital and IT strategic vision and roadmap. Microsoft SQL Server DBA with 7+ years of experience

Work experience supporting multiple database platforms (DB2 LUW, Oracle, DB2 z/OS)

Cloud database experience supporting Azure databases and SQL Managed Instances

Implement database security best practices

Database backup and recovery technologies

Structured Query Language guidance and support

Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

Database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting

Develop database solutions for a variety of technical and business challenges

Support and assist the business systems application programming teams as necessary

Guide and train team members in technical business skills & processes

Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems

Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

Windows PowerShell or equivalent command-line shell and scripting language

Contribute to development of technology roadmap for Enterprise Database Team

Preferred experience

DB2 for Linux Unix Windows

Unix Operating system

DB2 HADR

Oracle

SSIS, SSAS, SSRS

Qualifications

4-year University / College Degree or significant technical certifications

Seven or more years’ experience in Information Technology

Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders

Experience in Agile methodologies and can apply those processes to everyday work

Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements for area of expertise

Available to provide after-hours technical support as needed
