Responsibilities:

This hands-on position has overall responsibility for coordinating the preparation, plating and ensuring the quality of food items for banquet events. The Banquet Cook reports to the Director of Catering and works effectively with front of the house management and catering sales staff to ensure smooth, high quality events.

The position requires the use of your creativity, while staying current with trends to develop new menu concepts, prepare, test, and control new menu items and maintain updated and accurate recipes. The role requires that you review the following day’s activities, prepare prep lists and lead a banquet production team to complete assigned work.

Qualifications:

Experience in high volume catering and banquet operations

Strong organizational skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Comfortable degree of dexterity for knife handling, prep work

Required Flexible Scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Certified culinary training is a plus.
