BREAKFAST COOK
Southside Diner is looking for a breakfast line cook to join our fast paced and busy open kitchen restaurant!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Cook all styles of eggs (over easy, poached, basted, etc.)
Read checks and prioritize items for proper timing of orders.
Communicate with other line cooks and work as a team.
Maintain calm during peak hours.
Ability to follow recipes for made from scratch items.
Clean and maintain prep area (e.g. utensils, prep table and equipment, sweep floors, walls and any Back of the House area, etc.) Dispose of trash.
Peel, cut, slice, dice, and portion specific food and menu items.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and have a positive attitude.
Must be available to work weekends
Prior experience preferred but not required.
The diner is only open 8am - 2pm, giving you the afternoons off! (Work hours 7am-3pm)
