The Brew Kettle, craft brewery and restaurant, is looking for an experienced line cook to join our team. The Brew Kettle provides all team members a friendly, cooperative and rewarding environment encouraging long-term, satisfying employment.
Candidates must be able to multi-task under pressure, have excellent communication skills and a proven track record in a high volume bar/restaurant.
The responsibilities of a Cook will include:
Setting up the station according to restaurant guidelines.
Preparing all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift.
Cleaning and maintaining the station by practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
Understanding how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
Performing additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Kitchen Manager.
Receiving, storing, and rotating all food/paper stock.
Working Conditions:
This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
