Warehouse Associate/Event Leader Part-Time

Job Description

This position includes the role of a warehouse associate, who performs an array of day to day warehouse operations, including pre and post event preparations. This position also includes a role of leading and engaging Temporary Event Staff, Vendors and their staff, and Clients. Requires flexible hours, including late nights on occasions. Part Time 20- 30 hours per week. Hours can vary depending on Events Scheduled. Must have high energy and social skills with ability to engage and connect with people.

Operations Associate

● Prepare event materials for upcoming weddings and events. This includes pulling vases, candles, candelabras, custom bars, etc. off shelves, cleaning glassware, painting bars, columns, as needed, and staging hardgoods to be loaded onto trucks or vehicles for the wedding or event.

● Use Power tools to fix and touch up broken decor, build new decor mainly using wood. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is preferred.

● Load and unload of event materials into trucks and event venues.

● Post event clean up and prep such as wash materials, maintain equipment and reshelving all items used in the wedding/event.

● Assist with receiving new stock.

● Assist with receiving, cleaning, and handling fresh flowers.

● Maintains clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

● Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.

● Short term travel to and from events, locally.

● Maintains event folders, to ensure knowledge and tracking of event details and planning

Event Leader

● Travel to transport event materials, by box truck or other large vehicles

● Train, lead and oversee temporary help at loading and unloading materials for events and at the venue.

● Unload, prep and distribute materials and product throughout completion of event

Qualification requirements

● High School diploma or equivalent required

● Valid Driver’s License

● Able to Drive 20’ and 26’ Uhaul Box Trucks.

● 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred

● Must have high energy and social skills with ability to engage in large social events with clients and vendors, and maintain positive relationships.

● To meet performance expectations, must be skilled in time management, troubleshooting, planning, basic mathematics, data entry and computer skills and an overall organized worth ethic.

● Seeking a team member who is dependable and reliable

Physical demands and abilities

● Regularly required to use ladders to hang decor

● Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

● Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push and pull heavy items

● Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

● Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

● Required to work with large item equipment such as dolly’s, large carts and other heavy physical labor as assigned.

● Required to work flexible and long hours on day of the event. ( Most set ups are between 8am-6pm with tear down of the event happening between the hours 10 pm- 2 am, including returning the Uhaul truck)
