About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Aluminum Wheelchair Ramp Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand tools and other machinery, a solid background in metal fabrication, and the ability to operate a forklift. You will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance of aluminum wheelchair ramps used in residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble aluminum wheelchair ramps according to specifications and safety standards
Read and interpret work orders
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (saws, grinders, etc.)
Operate forklift to move materials and completed products
Inspect finished products for quality, fit, and finish
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience in fabrication, aluminum preferred
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification a plus)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents
Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 120 lbs
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience fabricating wheelchair ramps or similar accessibility equipment
Forklift certification
