Chemical Plant Manager

Northern Chemical Blending Corp is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemical Plant Manager to lead our operations team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in chemical blending and handling, a passion for operational excellence, and a commitment to safety and quality. As the Chemical Plant Manager, you will oversee daily plant activities, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in our processes. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of chemical blending, handling, and production processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.

Lead, train, and motivate plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Manage inventory, coordinate raw material deliveries, and ensure accurate record-keeping of production data.

Operate and supervise the use of Tow Motors and other plant equipment.

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.

Monitor plant performance metrics and drive initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with senior management on production planning and process enhancements.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation and reports.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in chemical blending and handling within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team.

Proficient in operating Tow Motors (forklifts) and other material handling equipment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as part of daily duties.

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

Consistent attendance and punctuality.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or safety certifications are a plus.

Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Preferred Skills

Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Familiarity with regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with inventory management systems and production software.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
