Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Industrial Fasteners Institute – Independence, OH 44131
Responsible for handling the Institute's financial recordkeeping, including managing accounts payable, processing weekly payroll, depositing checks, recording financial transactions and completing annual tax forms. Also assist with administrative duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Code, enter, pay and file vendor expense and member dues invoices
- Process ACH Payroll transactions with bank
- Process payroll and mail out checks – Direct Deposits, 401(k)
- Collect timesheets from hourly employees
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Balance monthly bank statement with Quickbooks
- Process end of year updates and reports
- Monitor publications orders and re-order stock
- Review and Print W-2’s and 1099’s
- Maintain office equipment and order supplies as needed
- Answer phones and provide customer service to members
- Maintain employee files
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Proven bookkeeping experience, Quickbooks Desktop preferred
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Proven experience in processing payroll
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as a team player
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Associates Degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
