This is truly a fun job. People at Farmers Markets are excited to be there and they are passionate about buying from local producers. We have been present at these markets for nearly 20 years and have a very loyal following that purchase from us every week. If you are friendly, our products will sell themselves and you will be earning an average of $25-$35 per hour. And yes, THIS IS A COMMISSSION GIG but not to worry - Again, if you are friendly and outgoing you will sell lots of products and earn great part-time money. If you aren't friendly and outgoing this is not the gig for you.
We currently need vendors for Saturday mornings. These markets run from 9 am until noon or 1 pm. More details are here
Some final details for you to consider BEFORE applying: This gig is simple; you come to our store in Westlake to pick up the products you will sell at the market along with a tent and a table. You then drive to the market (5 to 30 miles) from our store and have a great time interacting with HAPPY/FRIENDLY customers that love Gray House Pies. After the market you return to the store to get paid. Once again, you will drive to our store in Westlake to pick up products. Then you will drive to your assigned market which is typically 10-30 miles away, you set up your stand and sell until market ends (noon or 1 pm). Then you break down your tent and table and return to our store in Westlake. I repeat these details process because some applicants get hung-up on the driving to and from the market. This is part of the gig - if you aren't willing to drive a bit to get to the market this isn't the gig for you. All necessary supplies and equipment are provided.
This gig will start in May or June and run through October. As mentioned - perfect for college students or retirees. No prior experience required. Must have reliable vehicle to drive to our store and to the market.
