A national sales and service company is seeking a Construction Foremen who will coordinate all site construction activities and supervise field personnel as required to successfully complete projects. In addition, you will maintain the highest quality, supervise all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. This position will require a clean driving record, as well as willingness to travel out of town/out of state short and long term. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime and lots of travel.
Job Responsibilities:
Promote job site safety, safe work practices, identify and rectify hazards immediately, and ensure employees are adhering to company safety policy and OSHA regulations
Coordinate and Supervise job construction activities
Direct field personnel to achieve completion on schedule, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications
Maintain construction schedule and identify and solve problems
Material planning, scheduling, and ordering
Maintain professional relationship with customers, contractors, suppliers, and company employees
Prepare job schedules, maintain an organized job site, complete all paperwork, and perform Project/Site Estimating
Support and maintain a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust, and customer and project focus
Perform other duties as assigned or required
Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have 5 years of construction experience with knowledge of operating tools and equipment
Must have OSHA 10-hour certificate
Must have the ability to comprehend and understand construction, assembly drawings, and blueprints
Must have strong organizational, communication, and listening skills
Must be able to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs
Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personalities is needed
This position requires regular and reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules
Must have the ability to physically lift heavy materials and work independently
Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to travel long distances via plane or automobile
