Job Description:
The Residential Sub will perform a variety of home repair and maintenance tasks. This includes addressing both minor and major issues, from fixing leaks and repairing drywall to installing fixtures and performing light renovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general home repairs, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general home maintenance and repair tasks such as carpentry, trim, painting, and drywall repair.
Install and repair doors, windows, roofing, and siding.
Troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs.
Assist with home improvement projects such as deck repairs, flooring installation, and kitchen or bathroom updates.
Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and improvements to homeowners.
Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after projects.
Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners to ensure their needs are met.
Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a contractor or in a similar role (general contractor, maintenance technician, etc.).
Strong working knowledge of a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, and painting.
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Hours:
Full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.
