JOB DESCRIPTION

­­­­Summary/Objective:

The Forklift Training Manager will be responsible for, conducting/validating training for all powered Industrial truck operators that Ignite hires. He/she will also be responsible for conducting classroom training and hands-on training and assessments in accordance with OSHA requirements. He/She will also collaborate with Leadership/customers, maintain filing, training records, and other administrative tasks. Candidate must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Demonstrates safety consciousness at all times and reports safety questions/concerns

Promotes safety as a business value vs. business priority, through training, focusing, and informing others about company safety practices and procedures while maintaining a clean working environment

Maintain active certifications/licenses for yourself needed to deliver training modules to candidates/clients

Administer all equipment training both in classroom and onsite hands-on training

Responsible for the maintaining the powered industrial trucks at the Ignite branch in proper working order

Conduct client site training in which you are certified to conduct, at client sites

Participates at recruiting events as needed. Help with/hold On-Site training events

Assist in creating and implementing training programs based on industry best practices

Enters, updates and maintains all equipment training records in employee database, Communicates requirements and duties to prospective candidates.

Update training programs as needed to reflect changes in Standard Operating Procedures and policy changes, determine training effectiveness and collaborate on new ideas to improve training to meet business needs

Act as a member of the overall Ignite Leadership team and participates in success direction of overall business

Works with other leaders/markets to support the expansion and improvement of the Ignite brand

Support the On-site team as requested, including off-shift check-ins, associate coaching, and other On-site duties

Must be able to assume leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to exceeding customer delivery expectations and achieving quality and productivity goals in a time-sensitive environment as well as meeting deadlines

Provides relevant data to Ignite Leadership to support training performance

Maintains good relationships with all candidates, employees, and corporate clients.

Performs various administrative duties (scanning, uploading, filing, faxing, copying, etc.)

Lead by example with urgency and enforcing teamwork

Any and all other duties as assigned by Manager/Director/VP/President

Essential Functions:

Education and Experience:

· High school graduate or equivalent (required)

1+ year previous experience

High sense of urgency

Excellent written and oral communication

Microsoft Applications (Preferred)

Positive attitude

Strong organizational skills

Ability to interact with candidates/associates in a professional manner

Training experience required

Previous PIT experience required

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to grasp, and handle objects around moving machinery, sitting, walking, bending, and standing. Occasional squatting/kneeling twisting/turning. Occasionally lifting 10-25 pounds.

Physical conditions: Frequent walking: Even/Uneven Surfaces

Environment: Extreme temperature outside (hot /cold); Internal: temperature-controlled environment

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.

Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses).
