QUALIFICATIONS
State Board Licensed Cosmetologist and/or Managed Cosmetologist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Teacher position is a full-time, non-supervisory position providing students with
appropriate educational activities and experiences that will enable them to fulfill their
potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. We are seeking a
Cosmetology Specialist with expertise and an understanding of how to adapt a
cosmetology curriculum to an after-school setting. The ideal candidate will be able to
teach students to present. They will be able to expose students to available technologies
and programming through a designed curriculum and through a series of projects
designed by students

Four-day work week: Focus is open Monday through Thursday;

RESPONSIBILITIES
They will be able to expose students to available technologies and programming through a designed
curriculum and through a series of projects designed by students.
Create basic lesson plans Familiarity with electronic attendance tracking.
Engage a group of 15-20 students in a curriculum exploring Cosmetology as a tool for project-based
learning.
Design a curriculum to introduce students to the world of Cosmetology and a variety of forms such as
esthetics, makeup, and hairstyling.
Coordinate Cosmetology based trips, special events, student showcases and other activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
