Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Columbus, Ohio. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role on the team, focusing on AR projects and utilizing their proficiency in Excel to perform tasks independently with a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:
Manage and execute AR projects, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner
Conduct research on short pay, identifying and documenting any discrepancies
Utilize Microsoft Excel to record variances and discrepancies discovered during research
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Work independently, managing time and tasks effectively without constant supervision
Leverage skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage customer accounts and take necessary action
Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating as necessary
Process customer credit applications, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Good problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using accounting software other than Microsoft Excel is a plus
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting skills
