JPMorgan Chase needs curious, passionate data scientists to drive the transformation of data into insights that identify "aha!" moments and enable business breakthroughs.We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled data engineer to join our analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support the data-driven decision-making process of the company. The ideal candidate should be an expert in SQL, Alteryx, and Python and have 2-4 years of relevant experience in data engineering. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field: Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or QlikView; experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake

Expert-level knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, and Python; Strong understanding of ETL processes and data modeling

Experience with database systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL

Stay abreast of new applications in machine learning, deep learning, and AI but can recognize and apply the right technologies when the challenge you are solving is less complex

Experience in wrangling large, complex datasets, strong database skills and ability to write, optimize and tune complex SQL scripts

Have a demonstrated ability to think both independently and collaboratively to implement creative solutions that solve business problems, being diligent in the detail while maintaining focus on broader purpose and business objectives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Previously worked in an insights function at a financial services firm, consulting firm, or a marketing agency

Have a strong grasp of big data disciplines, Agile (scrum) methodologies, and new technologies

Are proficient with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Are a lifelong learner and hold a growth mindset; we welcome individuals who geek out on industry podcasts, stay abreast of cutting-edge techniques, or participate in KDD and Kaggle competitions for "fun" and love to share what they are learning with the rest of the team
