21664BRTitle:IT Middleware Administrator Senior – Lead (WebSphere)Job Description:Position Summary:AEP is seeking a senior level Middleware Administrator accountable for implementation and support of Java Application Server solutions within a large scale distributed environment. This position requires a diverse range of skills including expert experience in Java support with hands-on experience configuring IBM WebSphere Application Server, setup of SSL, configuration of IBM HTTP Server, and an emphasis in root cause analysis.Principal Accountabilities:Install, configure and support IBM WebSphere Suite of products in a large enterprise environment.Includes:
Planning, configuration, and testing of new installations
Management of SSL Certificates
Configuration of Node Manager, Machines, Clusters and Domains
Support of JMS, including distributed queues, clustered JMS implementations and foreign JMS providers
Support of IBM HTTP Server
Monitoring the health of Java application servers using vendor-provided tools, scripts and third party tools
Day to day administrative support of the environment
Provide problem analysis and troubleshooting for WebSphere issues and related system components.Includes:
Log Analysis and Error resolution
Thread dump analysis
Provide performance tuning and capacity planning.Provide assistance in the delivery of technical services including the preparation of cost justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations.Provide and maintain technical documentation, policies and procedures related to Middleware infrastructure and updates as necessary.Perform 24x7 on-call support on a rotating schedule.Auto req ID:21664BRRelocation:NoLocation:Columbus, OHJob Type:Full-TimeJob Category:Information TechnologyMinimum Requirements:Note: This position is being posted in a range from Middleware Admin Senior - Lead levels. Minimum of 8 years of IT Systems Administration experience supporting Middleware technologies.IT Middleware Administrator Lead:Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering related field or Associate degree with 2 years system administration related experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years system administration related experience.Experience: In addition to any experience noted above: Minimum of 10 years of IT Systems Administration experience supporting Middleware technologies.Requirements - Other:
At least 4 years of hands on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server
Working knowledge of Windows, UNIX and RedHat Linux Operating Systems
Working knowledge and experience in Shell scripting
Familiar with Web Authentication and Authorization systems, including LDAP and Single-Sign On
Ability to work within a fast paced team environment
Excellent organization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities successfully
Aptitude for troubleshooting systems or applications
Ability to assemble and clearly present technical information to non-technical people
Customer service focused
Experience with other Middleware technologies including Oracle Weblogic, Software AG webMethods Suite and/or IIS would be a plus
