Database Engineer (direct-hire) The Database Engineer (MySQL) reports to the DevOps Lead and is responsible for participating in all aspects of planning, deploying, documenting, monitoring, and maintaining our data persistence infrastructure critical to the success of the business in a DevOps environment. Maintains, improves, and monitors existing infrastructure. Deploys new infrastructure and automates management tasks. Evaluates technologies and tools. Troubleshoots and fixes infrastructure issues. Makes changes as needed to documentation.
Requirements (must-haves):
At least 3 years managing MySQL Databases (i.e. configuration, writing, tuning, indexes, query optimization, data modeling)
Automated tasks and wrote scripts (i.e. Bash, Python, Go, Ruby)
Worked with a configuration management tool (i.e. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack)
Planned, deployed & managed open source infrastructure (i.e. Linux/UNIX)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science (or similar field)
Bonus Points (one or all):
Production MySQL Orchestrator
Production experience with Percona tools is highly desired
Master-slave replication in the Cloud
