Apply for JobOur client is a trusted partner in the Biotechnology industry and is seeking a Senior Research Assistant to join their hardworking team!Located in Columbus, OHPay rate : Starting at $28/hrShift : M-F 1 st shift (8a-5p)A Senior Research Assistant will support preclinical studies through the execution of functional outcomes that are designed to test drug efficacy and characterize animal models. Assistants will assist the Animal Outcomes Staff in performing functional outcomes for multiple studies. The Senior Research Assistant will need to perform significant rodent handling.Requirements:

Associate or bachelor’s degree, scientific field preferred.

Experience in laboratory animal handling and restraint techniques.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Strong understanding and ability to follow laboratory methods and SOPs .

Responsibilities:

Executes functional outcomes including open-field assessment, rotarod, grip strength, gait analysis, plethysmography, ECG, physiology, etc.

Supports Animal Outcomes staff in setting up and performing outcomes, including QCing and inputting data.

Analyze outcomes data.

Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.

Assist in ordering and stocking inventory.

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Study Protocols.

Document with strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

Humanely and confidently handle rodents.
